Important Note: This is a single Small Base Sizer Die only. It is not recommended for ammunition used in bolt-action rifles. Case lubrication is required.
The RCBS Small Base Sizer Die for .30-06 Springfield is specifically designed for bottleneck cases used in firearms with tight chambers, such as semi-automatic, pump, or lever-action rifles. This die resizes cases to dimensions slightly below SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute) minimums, reducing both the shoulder and body by a few thousandths of an inch. This process helps to ensure exceptionally reliable feeding and chambering, particularly important for semi-automatic platforms like the AR-10 pattern rifles, where consistent operation is paramount. It also simultaneously de-primes the spent case.
