RCBS Full-Length 2-Die Set - 6.5mm Creedmoor
Important Note: This die set requires an RCBS #3 Shellholder, which is sold separately. Case lubrication is required for sizing.
This RCBS Full-Length 2-Die Set is designed for reloading bottleneck rifle cases like the 6.5mm Creedmoor. The set consists of a Full-Length Sizer Die with an Expander-Decapping Unit and a Seater Die with a Bullet Seater Plug. The sizer die brings the case back to SAAMI minimum cartridge dimensions, ensuring reliable feeding and chambering. The seater die seats the bullet to the correct depth and includes a built-in roll crimper to secure it in place. Made from proprietary die steel in the USA, this set is built for a lifetime of precision reloading.
Die Functions & Features:
1. Full-Length Sizer Die
This die resizes the entire outside of a fired bottleneck case back to SAAMI minimum specifications. It simultaneously removes the spent primer with the decapping rod. As the die is withdrawn, the expander ball passes through the case neck, setting the proper neck tension to accept a new bullet. The die also features vents to prevent case damage caused by trapped air or excessive lubricant.
2. Seater Die
This die performs two functions: it seats the bullet to your desired depth and can apply a roll crimp at the same time. The bullet seater plug is adjustable, and the built-in roll crimper is used to secure the bullet in the case, which is beneficial for hunting rounds or ammunition used in certain types of actions.
