Overview

The Hyperion 10x42 ED Binocular features an upgraded ergonomic chassis that makes holding it more comfortable, especially during long glassing sessions. Optically, it features phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms, extra low-dispersion (ED) glass, and anti-reflection Super multi-coated (SMC) optics to produce a versatile and capable optic that produces bright and clear high-contrast images with true color rendition and virtually no color-fringing. Coupled with the optical features are 42mm diameter objectives which give the binocular very competent low-light performance. This combination of optics and objectives make the Hyperion ED ideally suited for most outdoor activities from hunting, to birding, to sporting events. The 62° apparent angle of view also helps to minimize the visible handshake common in higher-power binoculars.

The comfortable ergonomic chassis is made of a magnesium alloy to help reduce weight, without sacrificing strength while adding impact and corrosion-resistant. The optical tubes are wrapped with durable armoring which not only protects them from drops and impacts, it also gives the binocular a slip-resistant grip - especially in cold and wet weather. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fog proof - especially in extreme weather conditions. A right-eye diopter adjustment allows the binocular to be customized to most people's needs, and twist-up eyecups mean it can be comfortably used with or without eyewear.
